Optimizing a vehicle with an AEC-O.CT product doesn’t just increase the vehicle’s output and maximum speed, it also improves the vehicle’s overall performance. This includes, for example, optimizing and realigning the gear shift timing for the transmission and re-engineering the engine control unit.
The main focus of this cooperation is legal solutions that lead to sensible vehicle optimization. As a result, all AEC-O.CT products are TÜV-tested and provided with the corresponding reports.
Reprogramming of the control unit that isn’t carried out in moderation can cause considerable damage to the vehicle and seriously jeopardize the driver’s safety. For this reason, illegal and excessive performance improvements are explicitly ruled out as part of this cooperation.
All vehicles optimized with an AEC-O.CT product can also be safeguarded with the AEC warranty after the installation of the product. This does not restrict the scope of the Premium warrantie, nor their duration (24, 36 or 48 months). A small surcharge will become payable for the safeguarding of optimized vehicles through the AEC warranty.
